The Kernels return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium for a four game home stand, May 28-31. Here's a preview of what you can expect each day:
May 28-31 vs. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers
The Kernels open a four game home stand against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the MWL affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Kernels will wear special jerseys as part of Kernels vs. Cancer Night that will be sold via a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society. Fans are encouraged to wear white as the Kernels work to âwhite out' cancer. Three lucky fans, age 18 and older, will win a used car as part of Pat McGrath Chevyland Used Car Night. And, it's a Rock 108 Progressive Beer Night, where 16 oz. draft beer starts at $1 when the gates open at 5:30 pm and goes up a dollar each hour until reaching full price. First pitch between the Kernels and Timber Rattlers is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
It's Star Wars night at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium, as the Kernels will wear special Star Wars jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction during the game with the proceeds to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF). It's also our first post-game FIREWORKS show of the season, presented by Z 102.9. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
Get your baseball cards here! The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free set of 2010 Kernels baseball cards, sponsored by Perfect Game USA. It's a 104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Day where fans can get autographs from the Kernels on the concourse before the game, enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon and meet Glass Slipper Entertainment's Cinderella on the concourse, and play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo during the game, and run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game, thanks to Beef O'Brady's. The Kernels will be wearing special red Angels jerseys that are only worn on Sunday home games, sponsored by Xquisite Limo. Gates open at 1:00 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Timber Rattlers is scheduled for 2:05 pm.
It's the âofficial' start of summer as the Kernels celebrate Memorial Day. Begin the day with a pancake breakfast at the stadium from 8 to 10 am. The breakfast is $6 for adults and $4 for kids 12-under with the proceeds to benefit local Veterans groups. Then, enjoy the celebration of Memorial Day in the Veterans Monument Park with a ceremony starting at 10 am. The Kernels will be collecting non-perishable food donations as part of the Freedom From Hunger community campaign. And, it's Pepsi Day at the ballpark where the first 500 fans through the gates when they open at 1:00 pm, receive a free can koozie and during the game there will be two drawings for a night in a Kernels Diamond Suite on Tuesday, July 6th and a Pepsi Tailgate Package that includes: a pop-up canopy, travel grill, four bag chairs, grill tools, cooler, Bag-O game and a $200 gift certificate from Nelson's Meats. Plus, fans can run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game, thanks to Beef O'Brady's. It's a HUGE day on Memorial Day when the Kernels take on Wisconsin at 2:05 pm.

104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Fun Day: Every Sunday home game, enjoy selected snacks for $1. Fans can get autographs from the Kernels players on the concourse from 1:20 to 1:40 pm. Play Travel Advisors Baseball Vacation Bingo for a chance to win a trip to see an Angels game. And after the game, kids (and adults) can run the bases and play catch on the field. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon on the concourse and visits from Glass Slipper Entertainment's Storybook Princesses.

Mix 96.5 FM/WMT AM 600 Winning Wednesday: A lucky Kernels fan, age 18 and older, could win $10,000 on Winning Wednesday, when the Kernels perform a certain feat in an inning such as hit for the cycle as a team, or the shortstop makes all three outs in the inning.
100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday: 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 all game and get bottled soda and water for $2.
