Kansas City Current News Release
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current is celebrating the next iteration of its Teal Time campaign, reminding both Kansas City and the world that playoff time is Teal Time. Throughout the duration of the Current's postseason run, fans can look forward to a Teal Mobile Tour, unique giveaways and activations and the launch of the Kansas City Current's own newspaper: The Teal Times. An unmissable week of fan experiences will culminate with the Current's quarterfinal match at CPKC Stadium Sunday, Nov. 9 at 11:30 a.m. CT against Gotham FC.
"We cannot wait to celebrate Teal Time ahead of an exciting postseason run," said Kansas City Current Vice President, Marketing Jocelyn Monroe. "With several memorable fan experiences and activations planned, Teal Time will bring the unforgettable energy of a postseason matchday at CPKC Stadium to fans across the Midwest region and world as we showcase that the Kansas City Current is not done yet."
The first-ever edition of The Teal Times was delivered with Sunday's Kansas City Star, with subsequent issues set to release each Monday ahead of Kansas City Current playoff matches; at four newsstands throughout the KC Metro. Each issue features in-depth articles telling the story of the Current's record-setting 2025 regular season, player profiles and includes a special keepsake frameable Teal Times player poster.
Beginning Tuesday morning, fans can pick up limited copies of The Teal Times at Union Station, featuring a large, custom-fabricated newsstand that doubles as a backdrop for fan photo moments and digital ticket purchase location. Three additional smaller newsstands will be located at City Market, Country Club Plaza and Pitchside Coffee, with the first-ever issue of The Teal Times available for pickup. For Current fans who can't get their hands on the limited-edition paper version, all issues of The Teal Times will be available in the KC Current App.
The KC Current App will also host a Playoff Ticket Sweepstakes. One lucky fan who downloads the KC Current App the week of a postseason match will win two tickets to the quarterfinal or potential semifinal match at CPKC Stadium.
Limited-edition playoff merchandise is also now available for purchase, including a Teal Time tee, Teal Time scarf, Teal Time engraved YETI tumblers, a playoff beanie and a playoff pin. The Team Store at CPKC Stadium will be open Thursday through Saturday from 12-7 p.m. CT, and the collection is on sale now online at the KC Current Team Store.
Kansas City will turn teal to celebrate the playoff run as KC Current banners will be hung at Union Station. Flags will be up at the Country Club Plaza, and the Kansas City skyline will be lit teal the night before each Current playoff match.
To further build postseason excitement in Teal Town, the Current is encouraging classrooms and schools to participate in KC Current Spirit Week from Nov. 3-7 or Nov. 10-14, should Kansas City win its quarterfinal match. More information on KC Current Spirit Week, including the theme for each day, can be found HERE. The Current's Teal Mobile will also make several stops around the KC Metro starting on Monday.
Single-match playoff tickets are now available for purchase HERE, and parking passes can be purchased HERE or by calling 913-374-0233.
