
Kalamazoo Completes Trade with Stockton for Forward Aaron Clarke

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce the completion of a trade with the Stockton Thunder for forward Aaron Clarke.
In return, the Thunder will acquire forward Jordan Fulton. In 27 games with Kalamazoo, Fulton earned 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) and was minus-15.
A four-year pro, Clarke comes to Kalamazoo after starting the season in Stockton. With the Thunder, Clarke rang up 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) in 24 games. Clarke joined Stockton in the off-season as part of a trade with the Wheeling Nailers.
Last season, Clarke had a career year, setting personal-highs for goals (25), assists (32) and points (57) in 59 games with the Nailers, including 17 multi-point games and four multi-goal contests. Dangerous on the penalty-kill, Clarke led all ECHL players last year with five shorthanded goals.
During the 2008-09 season, Clarke skated in 40 games and served as captain for the Nailers and earned a spot on the American Conference roster in the ECHL All-Star Game. Also during that season, Clarke suited up 22 games in the AHL splitting time with the Albany River Rats, Binghamton Senators and Providence Bruins.
The native of Peterborough, Ontario began his pro career with the Nailers during the 2007-08 season. Before turning pro, Clarke split his collegiate career playing two seasons at Niagara University and two years with Robert Morris University.
Due to traveling from California, Clarke isn't expected to be in the K-Wings lineup tomorrow night, Wednesday, December 29th, as Kalamazoo hits the road to continue their quest for the State Line Face-Off Trophy, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company, to battle the Toledo Walleye
Clarke is slated to make his K-Wings debut this weekend, as the K-Wings host the Elmira Jackals for games on Friday, December 31st and Saturday, January 1st.
For the ninth straight season, the K-Wings have teamed up with COOL 101 FM, and WWMT to present the New Year's Eve Bash. Your ticket to the game will give you FREE admission to the party after the game, which includes a Rock and Roll Dance Party in The Cube, as well as a public skate in Wings Stadium and The Annex.
This Friday's contest will also be a Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs. Also to celebrate the New Year, the world famous, Claude "The Happy Trumpeter" will be performing on both Friday and Saturday.
On January 1st, Claude "The Happy Trumpeter" will literally be tooting his own horn as the celebrity during the K-Wings Saturday "Celebrity" Series. This Saturday, January 1st, one lucky fan that posted their New Year's Eve Resolution video on the K-Wings' You Tube channel will win a great prize, which will be announced at the game. Winning fan must be in attendance on Saturday, January 1st to be eligible to win.
Being a premium night game, tickets for the New Year's Eve Bash will range from $10.90-$15.90 for adults and $7.90 for children under the age of 12. Game tickets purchased on game day will increase by $1.
Skate rentals will be available for only $3; however the Wings Stadium Complex encourages all patrons who have their own skates to bring them to the game.
