Bakersfield's Tordjman Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Josh Tordjman of the Bakersfield Condors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for December 20-26. Tordjman, who also won the award last week, joins Dany Sabourin (Oct. 25-31 and Nov. 1-7, 2004), Tyrone Garner (Feb. 12-18 and Feb 19-25, 2001) and Dov Grumet-Morris (Nov. 29-Dec 5 and Dec 6-12, 2010) as the only goaltenders to the win the award in consecutive weeks since it was introduced for the 1997-98 season.

Tordjman recorded 35 saves in a 1-0 shutout against Pacific Division rival Stockton on Sunday in his only apperance of the week.

The 24 year old is 6-0-0 in his last six starts for the Condors. Overall in 19 appearances this season, he is 9-8-1 with two shutouts, a 2.71 goals against average and a save percentage of .919.

The native of Montreal, Quebec is 14-12-1 in 28 ECHL appearances with Phoenix and Bakersfield. Tordjman appeared in two games with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL in 2008-09 going 0-2-0 with a 4.09 goals-against average and a save percentage of 8.71. Tordjman has also appeard in 176 AHL games with San Antonio posting a record of 82-76-10 with nine shut outs, a 2.71 goals-against average and a save percentage of .910.

Last season, Tordjman was named the AHL ‚¬â„¢s Man of the Year of his outstanding contributions to the local community and charitable organizations.
