
K-Wings Trade for ECHL Rights of Patrick Kennedy

KALAMAZOO- The Kalamazoo Wings have completed a trade with the Evansville IceMen for the ECHL rights of Patrick Kennedy, who is currently in the American Hockey League with the Utica Comets.
A dynamic player, Kennedy has posted 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) in 25 games this season with the IceMen. Kennedy has also played in five games this year for the Comets.
A four-year pro, Kennedy has spent a majority of his career with the IceMen. Kennedy began his pro career in 2011-12 in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads and the Trenton Titans. Since 2012-13, Kennedy has played 105 games with Evansville and 45 games with Utica.
Prior to turning pro, Kennedy was a four-year standout at Cornell University, where he was the Big Red's team captain during his senior season.
In return for Kennedy, the IceMen will receive future considerations and forward Ray Kaunisto, who has recorded 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 43 games this season.
The K-Wings will return home tonight, Wednesday, March 11th, with a 7 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets. This evening is the rescheduled game that was originally scheduled on March 7th that was postponed due to unplayable ice conditions.
Anyone who had tickets for the March7th game can use them for the rescheduled contest, tonight. If a ticket holder from the March 7th game can't use the ticket for the rescheduled contest, they can redeem it for any of the remaining K-Wings home games. Exchanges can be made at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
Fans that will utilize their tickets for this evening's rescheduled game do not need a new ticket; they can use their ticket from March 7th.
Also in an appreciation of supporting the K-Wings, any fan that uses their March 7th ticket for this Wednesday's contest, will receive a FREE ticket to the K-Wings-Komets contest on Friday, March 20th.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.
Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans along with group ticket packages (15 or more people) may be ordered through the K-Wings front office by calling (269) 743-6011.
