Czarnik Joins Gladiators

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators have announced that they have acquired forward Robert Czarnik (pronounced ZAR-nick) along with future considerations from the Ontario Reign in exchange for forward Garry Nunn.

Czarnik, 25, began the 2014-15 season with the Indy Fuel, scoring 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) in 31 games for the expansion franchise. He was traded to the Reign on January 13th, and has since scored six goals and four assists since then.

This is the Detroit native's first season in the ECHL after three seasons in the AHL with the Manchester Monarchs and Hamilton Bulldogs. A third round (63rd overall) selection of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Czarnik played with the Monarchs from 2011 to 2014, totaling 13 goals and 21 assists.

Nunn, 25, was the Gladiators' second leading scorer with 13 goals and 31 assists in 58 games. This was his first season with the Gladiators after three seasons with the Alaska Aces from 2009 to 2013. The native of Victoria, British Columbia had his best season in 2012-13, when he was second on the Aces with 49 points on 17 goals and 32 assists.
