
K-Wings Receive Beach and Blomstrand

Kalamazoo, MI- Heading into a three-game in three-day weekend, the Kalamazoo Wings roster will receive a slight facelift thanks to some help from both of their National Hockey League affiliates.
Earlier this morning, the St. Louis Blues have reassigned forward Cody Beach. A former 5th round (134th overall) selection of the Blues during the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Beach began the season in the American Hockey League with the Chicago Wolves.
Last season, Beach split his rookie campaign in the ECHL with the Evansville IceMen and in the AHL with the Peoria Rivermen. The native of Kelowna, British Columbia notched nine points (2 goals 7 assists) in 24 games with the IceMen and registered seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 23 games with the Rivermen.
Prior to turning pro, Beach played four seasons in the Western Hockey League. In 2009-10, Beach was named the Calgary Hitmen's Rookie of the Year and helped his team reach the Memorial Cup.
Beach's most productive Junior season was his last in 2011-12 with the Moose Jaw Warriors, where he posted 56 points (15 goals, 41 assists) and rung up 229 minutes in penalties.
Joining Beach will be Ludwig Blomstrand, who was reassigned this morning from the Vancouver Canucks. Blomstrand began the season the AHL playing in six games with the Utica Comets.
A former 4th round (120th overall) selection of Vancouver in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Blomstrand has been dubbed by Hockey Future's as one of the Canucks' fastest prospects.
Blomstrand made his professional debut last season in Europe playing in 14 games with Djugardens IF Stockhom before coming to North America to finish the season seeing action in eight games (1 goal, 1 assist) for the Chicago Wolves.
The native of Uppsala, Sweden complete for his native Sweden during the 2010-11 World Junior Championships.
In a separate transactions, the K-Wings have released forward Dan Dries and defenseman Joe Sova.
The K-Wings will start the month of November at Wings Stadium this Friday, November 1st with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Toledo Walleye on Duck Dynasty Night featuring a special appearance from the hit TV show's very own Mountain Man.
Tickets for all 36 K-Wings home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Regular season ticket prices for home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and the New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance. Tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans, along with full-season and group ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings Sales office by calling (269) 743-6011.
