IceMen Release Goalie and Welcome Back Another

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville IceMen have been reassigned goaltender Allen York from the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. The club also announces the release goaltender Garrett Bartus.

York, 24, appeared in one game in his time with Charlotte, saving 28-of-29 shots faced, earning a .966 save percentage. York brings a 0.94 goals against average in the one appearance back to Evansville .

The 6'3", 195-pound York was on roster during IceMen training camp, as well as the first game of the season on October 19. He also played in five games with the team last season, recording a .919 save percentage and owning a 3-1-1 record.

Bartus, 24, also partook in IceMen training camp before being released and retained after York was called up by Charlotte. The St.

Charles, Ill. product initially signed with the Bloomington Thunder of the SPHL before returning to Evansville for a short stint this weekend.
