Junior joins Dallas Stars

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White today confirmed that the Dallas Stars have recalled Right Wing Junior Lessard from the Iowa Stars. Lessard's recall is under emergency conditions.

The 26-year-old Lessard departs Iowa as the club's leading goal scorer with 21 goals and as second leading point-getter with 41 overall points: (21/20/41). The 6-0, 200-pound winger leads Iowa with 10 power-play goals. In 117 career games with the Iowa Stars, he has notched 47 goals, and 52 assists for 99 total points.

He has skated in five National Hockey League games with the Dallas Stars, recording his first NHL goal on November 7th, 2005 against the Edmonton Oilers.

Originally signed as a Free Agent by Dallas on April 15th, 2004, the Quebec-native was named the 2004 Hobey Baker Award Winner as the Top Collegiate Player in the United States.
