Last time out...

The Florence Freedom (9-16), presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, fell to the Schaumburg Boomers (11-14) by a score of 6-1 on Friday. Boomers' starter Brett Mabry (2-1) shut down Florence, striking out seven in his seven and two thirds on the bump allowing only three hits and no runs to pick up his second win. Florence got on the board in the ninth. Gaby Juarbe pinch hit for Rob Kelly and led off with a walk. Juarbe moved to second on a balk, advanced to third on a Steve Carrillo ground out to second and came around to score on a Cody Bishop ground out. The Freedom's starter Alan Carey (0-2) fired three and a third innings allowing five runs, four of which were earned, while fanning two. The Boomers tagged one run on Carey in the third and four more in the fourth, the biggest hit being an Alexi Colon three run home run. Schaumburg led 5-0 after four. The loss was the Freedom's third straight.

For Starters...
