The Calgary Vipers Baseball Club are playing the Edmonton Capitals in Golden League action on Sunday July 4th, 2010 and have decided to celebrate America's 234th birthday at Foothills Stadium. Americans and Canadians alike are invited to join in the tribute to our neighbor nation.

What: The Vipers are celebrating America's pastime on the country's 234th birthday. Some features of the game include: a chance to watch as Consul General of the United States of America in Calgary, Laura Lochman, throws out the ceremonial first pitch; celebrating and learning about various American accomplishments throughout the game, singing God Bless America at the 7th inning stretch, buying $2.34 hot dogs, .

American expatriates in Calgary are invited to participate in honoring their home country, along with all Canadians who will be their gracious hosts, as they watch professional baseball.

A highlight of the day occurs when one lucky fan WINS A TRIP FOR TWO TO THE LEAGUE ALL-STAR GAME IN TUCSON, AZ from July 12-14, courtesy of the Calgary Vipers.

When: Sunday July 4th, 2010 at 1:35pm is game time. Gates to the stadium open at 12:35pm.
