Flyers Take on Outlaws in Rubber Match Before 17-Game Home Stand

CHICO, Calif. (June 30, 2010) -- The Orange County Flyers take on the Chico Outlaws in the series rubber match at Nettleton Stadium tonight in the final road game before a 17-game home stand in Fullerton. Orange County sends Kevin Altman, Chico's 2009 opening day starter, to the mound in his second spot start of the year against right-hander Garret Holleran in today's game. The Flyers are looking for payback after Chico won two of three games in Orange County last weekend.
The Flyers travel home on Thursday before beginning a string of 17 consecutive home games from July 2 through July 21, sandwiching the league's all-star break July 12-14.
This Friday, the Flyers get their first look at one of the GBL's new teams, Na Koa Ikaika Maui (The Maui Strong Warriors) as the teams kick off a three-game series. Friday is another "Family Film Friday" with first pitch at 6:05pm, and fans are invited to stick around for the post-game movie as we'll be screening
Field of Dreams. Saturday's doubleheader against Maui begins at 5:05pm, and will be a "Luau Under The Lights" celebration, so wear your beach gear our touristy shirts for the occasion.
