Orange County Flyers News Release

FULLERTON, Calif. (December 28, 2010) - The Orange County Flyers would like to congratulate team broadcaster Josh Feldman who recently accepted a position with the Single-A Kannapolis Intimidators, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Feldman served as the Flyers Director of Media Relations in addition to handling group ticket and corporate sales during the 2010 season.

"Being a part of the Flyers and the Golden Baseball League for the last four years has been an amazing experience," said Feldman. "Much like the players in the GBL who strive to reach affiliated ball, I have been working toward a similar goal. When the Intimidators offered me the position as their Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I've made so many great friends in my time in the GBL, and those are relationships I will always treasure."

Feldman, who turns 26 in January, first joined the Flyers in 2007 as the team's on-field MC after graduating from USC with a degree in broadcast journalism. He joined the GBL's Long Beach Armada the following season and served as the team's on-field host and road-game broadcaster for two years before returning to the Orange County organization in January 2010. He created the first ever media guides for the Armada and the Flyers, as well as handling media relations for players such as Jose Lima, Hideki Irabu, Byung-Hyun Kim and Mark Prior.

The Texas native leaves the Los Angeles area after spending most of the last eight years in Southern California. He will start with the Kannapolis Intimidators, located 30 miles north of Charlotte in North Carolina, in mid-January.

"We're very happy for Josh to get the chance to move up to the next level," said Bob Young, Managing Member of the Flyers. "He has been such a versatile member of our organization as well as a lot of fun to listen to in the booth. We want to thank Josh for his hard work and dedication to the Flyers, and we wish him the best of luck in Kannapolis. Our ultimate goal is to quickly see all our personnel in the major league system, from players, to coaches, to front office staff, and our broadcasters just like Josh."

Josh specifically noted that any fans who would like to keep in contact with him can reach him at joshbfeldman@gmail.com" because "My inbox is always open for our fans."
