System-Wide Roster Movement Affecting Thunder

Some years, a team's Minor League system runs like clockwork. In 2008, both the Thunder and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees won championships. In other years, the present season comes to mind, issues arise because of injuries, players not performing and overall movement.

That is what Tony Franklin's Thunder club, 38-39 heading into tonight's game at Erie, is battling against this season. So is Triple-A Scranton, even though Dave Miley's club is 44-32 entering Thursday play. In Triple-A, the club has already experienced over 100 player moves.

Player movement at the Double-A level, while not quite as radical, ranks high with around 80 transactions.
