The Mudcats look for their fourth straight win and for a series victory tonight as they take on the Dash in game two of a three game series at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem. Carolina took game one of the series 7-1 last night and did so behind a quality effort from starter Brandon Barker. Tonight the Mudcats send RHP Andrew Thurman to the mound for the game two start. Thurman last pitched on 7/18 against this same Winston-Salem squad and suffered his first loss since 4/23 after allowing five runs on four hits over four innings pitched. It was his first start since 5/10 and since being placed on the disabled list following the overnight bus accident on 5/12. Thurman enters tonight's start 4-3 with a 3.47 ERA over seven starts this season. Before going on the DL in mid-May, Thurman was 2-0 with a 0.79 ERA over two starts in June (11.1ip, 8h, 2r, 1er, 1bb, 7so).
Tonight's game begins at 7:00 p.m. at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
