Harrisburg Senators News Release

Justin Jones pitched 4.2 outstanding innings in relief to earn the win in the Sens 7-2 win over the Binghamton Mets. The Sens scored five runs in the fifth inning to overcome a 2-0 deficit.

Joel Guzman had three hits in the win and Jemel Spearman chipped in with two and had two runs driven in. Every Senator starter had a hit in the ballgame.

The Sens scored their five runs on an error followed by three straight run scoring hits, then the rally was capped off by a bases loaded walk.

They tacked on a couple of runs in the seventh with one scoring on a wild pitch and another on a double by Spearman.

Brad Meyers started and went just 3.1 innings before turning the game over to Jones. Jones struck out four and walked one and faced just 15 hitters, one over the minimum, in 4.2 innings. Atahualpa Severino pitched a perfect ninth inning to finish the game.

The Sens have now won three in a row and improve to 50-57 on the season. The B-Mets fall to 40-67 on the season with the loss. The series continues Wednesday night with LH Aaron Thompson making his Sens debut against LH Eric Niesen for the B-Mets with the first pitch at 7:00pm.
