Jon Matthews Rejoins Dragons; Argenis Aldazoro Placed On Disabled List

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Outfielder Jon Matthews has been transferred to Dayton from Daytona (Advanced-A, Florida State League).

Outfielder Argenis Aldazoro has been placed on the disabled list.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Matthews played in 79 games for the Dragons over the 2013-'14 seasons. In 2014, he batted .314 with two home runs and 21 runs batted in, appearing in 67 games. Matthews has played in 32 games this season with Daytona, batting .124 with no home runs and four RBI. He has also appeared in 10 games with the Arizona League Reds on an injury rehabilitation assignment, batting .280 with two RBI.

Aldazoro appeared in 38 games for the Dragons in 2015, batting .262 with no home runs and 16 RBI.
