(May 13, 2009) Think Outside The Box this weekend through Thursday, May 21st!! Leave your TV behind and come experience Bowie Baysox fun and excitement in LIVE ND! We call it ND (Natural Definition).. It's BETTER than HD because we give you all of the sights, sounds, and smells of the ballpark that you can't get in your living room!We have an action packed home stand all teed up just for you! It will feature a rematch against Erie this Thursday through Sunday. Then the Altoona Curve (Class AA Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates) come to town this Tuesday, May 19th through Thursday, May 21st! Baysox Gearing Up For Home Stand This Weekend Bowie will return home to begin an 8-game home stand with record of 13-17, placing them right in the middle of the pack in the E.L.'s Southen Division. Akron is pacing the pack with a 22-7 record and a 2.5 game lead over second place Erie who heads to Bowie for five games. This weekend Erie hitters will face off against Bowie's scheduled starters of Sean Gleason (Thursday), John Mariotti (Friday, Game 1/ Game 2 starter is TBD), Jake Arrieta (Saturday) and Bobby Livingston (Sunday) Note: Starting rotation is subject to change. Please Don't Put Out This FireBaysox 1st baseman Brandon Snyder continues to tear it up at the plate, entering play on Wednesday as the league leader with his .374 batting average. He leads the E.L. in hits with 40, doubles with 12, and is tied for second in extra base hits with 16. In Snyder's last 10 games, he has hit at a .429 clip while over his last 5 games, he is hitting .556. It's More Than An Arms RaceBaysox starting pitching has also been taking care of business as well. Starter Troy Patton currently leads the E.L. with his 1.31 ERA, while fellow starter Jake Arrieta is 4th in the E.L. with 32 strikeouts. On the season, Patton is 3-1 with a 1.31 ERA, Arrieta is 3-1 with a 3.42 ERA and Bobby Livingston is 3-1 with a 3.71 ERA. Sean Gleason and John Mariotti are newcomers to the rotation while Brandon Erbe is on the Disabled List.
