
Curve announce festivities for upcoming homestand

ALTOONA, Pa - The Altoona Curve are starting to heat up on the field and so is the spring weather! Winners of five of their last seven games, the Curve will play host to the Eastern League's best team, the Akron Aeros (AA-Cleveland Indians) for a four day, five game series at Blair County Ballpark. The homestand will be featuring a wide variety of promotions for all Curve fans. For the ladies there will be a tote bag giveaway, for the kids there will be youth baseball clinic, and for fans of all ages, there will be a fireworks display following a doubleheader on Saturday, May 16. Come and join the fun at Blair County Ballpark this weekend!

Thursday May 14, 2009 - Akron Aeros at Altoona Curve, 6:35 p.m. (Gates open at 5:30 p.m.)
- Thirsty Thursday - Fans receive half off on all small sodas and on 16 oz. Miller Lite, presented by Rocky 104.9
Friday May 15, 2009 - Akron Aeros at Altoona Curve, 6:35 p.m. (Gates open at 5:30 p.m.)
- Pink Tote Giveaway - The first 1,500 women of all ages through the gates will receive a pink tote bag courtesy of Lakemont Park.
Saturday May 16, 2009 - Doubleheader Akron Aeros at Altoona Curve, 5:05 p.m. (Gates open at 4:00 p.m.)
- Fireworks Night - A brand new, spectacular fireworks display will follow Saturday night's game, presented by U.S. Foodservice
- EMS Worker Appreciate Night
Sunday May 17, 2009 - Akron Aeros at Altoona Curve 3:05 p.m. (Gates open at 2:00 p.m.)
- Prior to Sunday's game a Youth Baseball Clinic will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Registration will be at 9:00 a.m. The clinic is free to kids ages 14 and under with a ticket to Sunday's game.
Great seats for the entire homestand are still available and can be obtained by calling 877-99-CURVE, logging on to AltoonaCurve.com or in person at the Blair County Ballpark ticket windows during normal business hours.
