The Johnstown Chiefs (15-15-11; 41 PTS; 7th North div.) fell to seventh place in the North division after going 0-2-1 last week. The Chiefs lost Friday night to Atlantic City, suffered a shootout loss Saturday night against San Diego and Sunday afternoon fell to Peoria. This week the Chiefs will play three games, all on the road beginning Wednesday night in Trenton. Saturday night they are at Toledo and Sunday afternoon Peoria.

Game #39 (2/4/05) Atlantic City 3 - JOHNSTOWN 1 Currie 22 Saves

The Johnstown Chiefs dropped their third straight game at home Friday night as they fell to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 3-1 at the War Memorial Arena. The Chiefs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period with a Dmitri Tarabrin goal. The Boardwalk Bullies got a goal in each period as Dan Peters, Scott Horvath and Derek Edwardson all tallied. Chiefs goaltender David Currie suffered the loss making 22 saves. Atlantic City goaltender Trevor Koenig made 30 saves in the win.

Game #40 (2/5/05) San Diego 3 - JOHNSTOWN 2 (OT) Mather Goal

The Johnstown Chiefs surrendered a two goal lead in the third period Saturday night to the San Diego Gulls and would eventually fall in a shootout 3-2 at the War Memorial Arena. Shawn Mather got the Chiefs on the board in the first period with his team leading 15th goal of the season at 13:51. The Chiefs would grab a 2-0 lead at 6:14 when Chad Cavanagh took a Dmitri Tarabrin cross ice past and tipped it by San Diego net minder Eddy Ferhi (30 saves). San Diego's Guilliaume Fournier scored both the Gulls goals in the final frame 2:51 just apart. Chiefs goaltender David Currie made 28 saves in the contest. The Gulls shutout the Chiefs 2-0 in the shootout, with goals by Fournier and locked out NHLer Curtis Brown.

Game #41 (2/6/05) Peoria 6 - JOHNSTOWN 3 Desrochers Goal. Assist

The Chiefs extended their home winless streak to five games when they lost 6-3 Sunday afternoon to the Peoria Rivermen. Shawn Mather, Jean Desrochers and P.L. Courchesne all scored for Johnstown. Chiefs goaltender David Cann made 19 saves in the contest.

Wednesday night the Chiefs return to Trenton (22-13-6, 50 PTS; 5th North div.) for the final time in the regular season. The Chiefs are 1-1-4 against the Titans this season and 16-20-6 all-time. Trenton has been struggling of late going 3-5-2 in their last ten games.

Saturday night the Chiefs will travel to Toledo (25-15-4, 54 PTS; 2nd North div.)and face the Storm for the fifth time this season. The Chiefs are 2-2-0 against the Storm this season and 34-35-10 all-time. The Storm sits in sole possession of second place in the North division and are 7-2-1 in their last ten games.

Sunday afternoon the Chiefs will play the Peoria Rivermen (21-16-4, 46 PTS; 6th North div.) for the fourth time this season. The Chiefs are 2-1-0 against the Rivermen this season and 23-28-6 all-time. Peoria has won four straight games and is 9-1-0 in their last ten games.

CHIEFS NOTES:

- Saturday night, the Chiefs tied a franchise record with their eleventh tie of the season. Twice the Chiefs had eleven ties (2002-03, 1995-96).

- Shawn Mather has registered a point in six straight games.

- The Chiefs are winless at home in five straight games (0-4-1).
