Ice Pilots Acquire Goalie, Stillman On IR

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced today that they have acquired goalie Ryan Person from the Greenville Grrrowl for financial considerations and center Cory Stillman has been placed on the seven day injured reserve list.

Person, who stands 6'1" and weighs 200 pounds, played in one game with Greenville this season losing in a shootout on January 22nd vs. Mississippi stopping 50 out of 54 shots. He also played in 18 games with Asheville in the SPHL this season posting a record of 5-12-0 with a 4.05 goals against average and .893 save percentage.

Person also played for Anchorage in the WCHL during the 2002-03 season posting a record of 8-20-2 with a 4.75 goals against average and .862 save percentage and also had a record of 16-10-3 with a 3.53 goals against average and .885 save p! ercentage with Adirondack of the UHL during the 2001-02 season. Person, who also appeared in three games for Monroe of the WPHL during the 2000-01 season, is 26 years old from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Stillman has played in 23 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 4 goals, 4 assists for 8 points and has picked up 16 penalty minutes.

The Ice Pilots, who have the best record in the ECHL and the most points at 30-11-4 for 64 points, will play home to the Texas Wildcatters this Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will also play home on Monday, Valentine's Day vs. South Carolina at 7:05 p.m.

Friday Night is Church Night and Saturday Night is Scout Night. Bring your Church group and Scout troop to see the Ice Pilots play as the Ice Pilots have won eight games in a row. Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish will be going after his 500th career win.
