
Jets Sign C.J. Suess

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Jets have announced they have agreed to terms with forward C.J. Suess (SEES) on a one-year entry-level contract with an annual value of $925,000.
Suess has signed an amateur tryout contract with the Manitoba Moose for the remainder of the season.
Suess, 24, was drafted by the Jets in the fifth round (129th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft and just finished his senior season with Minnesota State - Mankato. The Forest Lake, Minnesota native led the Mavericks with 43 points (22G, 21A) in 40 games and he became the first Mavericks player to capture the WCHA regular season scoring title and WCHA player of the year. His 127 career points stand tied for fifth on the school's career scoring list during the NCAA Division I era.
Suess was also named a top-10 finalist for the 2018 Hobey Baker Memorial Award honouring the NCAA's top hockey player. He currently ranks third in the NCAA Division I in faceoff wins (521), tied for 12th in goals (22), T-16th in points (43), and T-18th in plus/minus (plus-18)
