Belleville Senators News Release
The Ottawa Senators have recalled forward Ben Sexton from the Belleville Senators.
It'll be Sexton's first call-up to the NHL after spending his entire professional career so far in the American Hockey League.
Sexton, who missed 32 games earlier this season, has been on a tear since his return on Feb. 2 where he has tallied 19 points in 20 games. For the season, the 26-year-old has 21 points (10 goals) in 28 games. Over 155 career AHL games, Sexton has scored 37 goals and 71 points in 155 games.
Sexton was a seventh round draft pick by Boston in 2009 but is a native of Kanata, Ont., where the Sens play.
