AUSTIN, TEXAS, March 21, 2015 - The Bakersfield Jam (32-12) fell to the Austin Spurs (31-15) 115-95 Saturday night at Cedar Park Center. Renaldo Major had a season-high 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the field.

Bakersfield started the game red-hot from the field, thanks in part to Major's offensive attack (13 points), as they shot 59.3 percent from the floor and held a 38-28 lead after one quarter of play. The Jam struggled in the second quarter, scoring just 12 points on 23.8 shooting and falling behind 62-50 at the half.

In the third period, Austin stretched their lead to as many as 18 points and went into the final frame with an 86-75 advantage. Bakersfield put together a good run to start the fourth and had the Spurs lead cut to just five points at the 8:55 mark. Despite a strong effort to make a comeback, the Jam were unable to maintain an offensive rhythm down the stretch.

Xavier Munford contributed 15 points off the bench for the Jam. Joe Jackson and Casey Prather had 13 points apiece. Mac Koshwal finished with a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Spurs were led by Jarell Eddie who scored a game-high 34 points n 9-of-11 shooting, including 8-of-9 from beyond the arc. Orlando Johnson had 24 points while Jonathan Simmons and Erik Murphy each tallied 17 points.

Bakersfield will next travel to Rio Grande Valley to take on the Vipers tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. PT.
