
Jam Acquire Joel Wright in Three-Team Deal

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Jam announced today that the team has acquired forward Joel Wright from the Iowa Energy. In exchange, the Jam traded their own original 2016 4th round pick to Raptors 905, while the Energy receive returning player rights to Ty Walker from Raptors 905.
Wright (6-7, 225, Texas State) has appeared in 30 games (19 starts) this season for the Energy, posting averages of 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 30.0 minutes per contest. He was drafted in the third round of the 2015 NBA D-League Draft by Iowa.
Last season, Wright played in 37 games for the Idaho Stampede and averaged 16.6 points on 54.0 percent shooting from the field and 7.0 rebounds before being traded to the Delaware 87ers.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Wright played two seasons at Texas State and in 92 total games he averaged 12.4 points and 5.3 rebounds.
