
Jalen Robinson Selected for 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game

Washington, D.C. (July 20, 2015) - D.C. United defender Jalen Robinson has been selected to the 22-player roster for the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown game. The team will be coached by Landon Donovan and features some of the League's brightest young talent. The MLS Homegrown Team will take on the Club América U-20s on Tuesday, July 28, at Dick's Sporting Goods Park at 9 p.m. ET, streamed live on MLSsoccer.com, as part of the lead up to the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The Club America U-20 traveling roster was also announced and can be found below.
Robinson became D.C. United's seventh Homegrown Player to sign with the first team on January 6, 2014. Prior to United, Robinson played collegiately at Wake Forest University where he played two seasons and was an All-ACC Freshman Team selection. The Maryland native represented the U.S. U-23 squad in the 2015 Toulon Tournament, helping the team to a third place finish. Robinson has one goal in 11 appearances (11 starts) on loan with the USL Richmond Kickers and has made two appearances (two starts) in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup for D.C. United this year.

The Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game provides a yearly opportunity for MLS to showcase its top young talent and youth development system. MLS club youth academies have now produced nearly 150 Homegrown Players who have signed professional contracts with MLS clubs.
