Jacks Win Second Straight Overtime Game, 2-1

(Odessa, TX) - Dave Van Drunen's overtime winner extended the Odessa Jackalopes winning streak to eight games as they topped the Arizona Sundogs, 2-1, on Friday night at the Ector County Coliseum.

Van Drunen's wrist shot between the circles was the result of a 3-on-2 for Odessa. Mike Ramsay added the assist.

The Jackalopes record improves to 33-6-3 on the year as Joel Martin stopped 36 of 37 Arizona shots. He earned his 17th win this season.

Arizona's Steve Potvin scored the first period's only goal at 6:41 on the power play after tapping home a rebound. Mike Ramsay's wrist shot from the left circle with 29 seconds left in the second period tied the game at 1-1 for Odessa.

The Jacks and Sundogs meet again on Saturday at the Ector County Coliseum. Game time is 7:05 PM. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Kory Karlander youth jersey. The action can be heard on 102.1 Jack FM.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
