IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals and the Reading Royals team up to honor New York State Correctional Officers on Friday night at First Arena. Once the puck drops at 7:35 p.m., however, the two teams will be battling for crucial East Division points.
For Friday and Saturday's games, the Jackals will wear correctional officers uniforms while the Royals have agreed to wear the prison black and white, as the teams salute New York State Correctional Officers.
The Jackals enter tonight's game with a five point advantage over the Royals in the division for first place. With two games between the clubs this weekend at First Arena, the division picture could look significantly different after six periods of hockey.

The Jackals single season mark (in ECHL play) for points is 83, recorded by Benoit Doucet in 2007-2008. With Tyler Donati (78) and Justin Donati (77) both within six points of that mark, each has a chance to set a new Jackals record this weekend. The all-time Jackals record for points in a season is 93, accomplished by Randy Murphy in 2002-2003.
FIRST TO 200
The Jackals became the league's first team with 200 goals this season when R.J. Anderson scored in the third period of Sunday's game against Trenton. The Jackals lead the ECHL with 4.00 goals per game.
DEFENSIVE LOCK DOWN
The Jackals have given up the second fewest goals in the American Conference, having allowed 156 this season. Before Sunday, the Jackals went through a five-game stretch in which they allowed only nine goals.
