Reid Starts Tonight, Doyle To AHL

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Scott Reid will start tonight's game for Alaska against Las Vegas after the club announced that Frank Doyle has been loaned to the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

Reid stopped 40 shots to lead the Aces to a 5-3 victory at Victoria in his most recent outing last Saturday. He owns an 8-9-2 record for the season to go along with a 3.48 GAA and a.902 save percentage. Doyle earned his promotion by virtue of a 10-4-2 record with Alaska, and despite losses in each of his last two starts, still ranks third in the ECHL with a.915 save percentage and sixth with a 2.82 GAA.

The Aces (24-23-4) and Wranglers hook up tonight at Sullivan Arena in the first of a three-game series this weekend. Tonight and tomorrow night's face-off times have been set at 7:15 p.m., with Sunday's series finale scheduled for 5:05 p.m. All three games will be broadcast live on the flagship home for Alaska pro hockey, KFQD 750 AM. Alaska owns a 3-2 record against Las Vegas (21-23-5 overall) this season, including a weekend sweep of the Wranglers January 15-16, when Doyle stopped 61 of 62 shots to earn ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors.
