The Elmira Jackals bid for a ninth-straight victory when they finish off the weekend against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 4:05 p.m. at First Arena in the club's first Sunday home game of 2011-2012. Elmira set a franchise record on Saturday night, winning an eighth-straight game for the first time in one ECHL season, defeating Cincinnati, 4-1. With the victory, the Jackals maintained sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference by one point over the Gwinnett Gladiators.

ELMIRA BUCKS THE TREND

For the first time since Oct. 21 when Elmira beat Florida, 5-2, the Jackals won a game by more than two goals on Saturday. The 4-1 victory was the Jackals' third of the season not by one or two goals. Each of Elmira's last 18 wins had been one or two-goal decisions. Of the Jackals' 33 games this season, 27 have been decided by one or two tallies.

GAZLEY RECORDS CAREER HIGHS

Rookie forward Dustin Gazley set career bests with three assists and four points on Saturday night. The Novi, Mich. native leads all ECHL rookies and all Jackals skaters with 23 assists and is tied for second among first-year skaters with 31 points.
