Stockton Thunder News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Goaltender Olivier Roy made 35 saves and stopped all four shootout attempts to lift the Stockton Thunder (15-13-4, 34 points) to a come-from-behind 3-2 shootout victory over the Bakersfield Condors before 4,830 fans at Rabobank Arena on Saturday.

The Thunder, who went 2-for-6 on the power play and swept a two game road series in two days at Bakersfield, earned its first three game winning streak of the season, paced offensively by goals from Nathan Deck and Jordan Fulton.

Deck drilled a one timer past Matt Keetley at the right circle, converting a cross-ice pass by Matt Foy for a 1-0 Thunder lead on a two man advantage goal with 9:30 left in the first period.

Bakersfield responded on the power play to tie the game on Tyler Helfrich's fifth goal of the season, putting a second chance rebound past Olivier Roy's stick with 5:26 left in the second period.

Hans Benson gave Bakersfield a 2-1 lead with 6:33 left in the third period on a wrist shot from between the circles, but Fulton responded for a 2-2 tie on another Thunder power play goal with 3:29 left when he buried a one timer from the mid slot.

Milan Kytnar and Deck buried chances in the first two shootout rounds on Keetley's blocker side and Roy preserved the 2-0 shootout edge into the fourth round. He sealed the game by stopping Alex Hudson's forehand bid at the right post.

Keetley settled for the shootout loss with 25 stops.
