MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight the Jackals travel down to Reading, Penn. for their 12th and final meeting of the season with the Reading Royals. This matchup is a makeup for the January 24th meeting, which was postponed due to inclement weather. Tonight's tilt with the Royals will mark the 125th all-time regular season meeting between the two long-time rivals, making Reading the most frequently played opponent of the Jackals. The last time out, Chris Langkow scored twice and Mark Bennett added a goal but the Jackals fell to the Royals 5-3. Following that night, the Jackals went on a six-game winning streak and have won nine of their last 12 games entering Tuesday's contest. The Jackals have not traveled to Reading since December 18-19th. Elmira earned a 5-2 win in the first game and dropped the weekend finale 2-0. The Jackals are 55-57-12 all-time against the Royals and have a 4-7-0 record this season. Cason Hohmann leads the Jackals against the Royals with nine assists and 13 points.
