Isotopes' two millionth fan

Alicia Flores-Gallegos of Albuquerque walked through the turnstiles at Isotopes Park before the ‘Topes' game with Round Rock and helped the team make history, becoming the 2-millionth fan in franchise history. Immediately upon her entrance, she was greeted by Orbit, who was brandishing a giant bouquet of balloons, and ‘Topes General Manager John Traub, who immediately informed her she was the lucky fan.

Flores-Gallegos, who was making her first visit to Isotopes Park this season, was awarded with two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the continental United States, Mexico, or Canada, a new 24" color television from Baillio's, $250 cash from the Albuquerque Journal, and an Isotopes Prize Pack, complete with an authentic ‘Topes jersey, as well as an autographed bat and ball.

With a crowd of 7,859 on hand to watch Albuquerque wrap up its series with Round Rock, the team has now drawn a total of 2,004,135 since Isotopes Park opened in 2003, and 268,822 already this season,

On August 6, 2004, John Dexter became the 1-millionth fan to attend a game at Isotopes Park, a milestone that was reached after just 126 games. Tonight, the team achieved its second million fans plateau in fewer games, reaching the milestone after 122 contests.

This season, the Isotopes are averaging 7,467, fans per game, roughly one hundred more fans a game than last season when the team set an attendance record by welcoming 582,839 fans to beautiful Isotopes Park, recently named the fourth best ballpark in Minor League Baseball by Minor League News.
