Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
The first of two Albuquerque Isotopes Kids' Clinics will be held this Saturday, June 10, beginning at noon and continuing until 3:00 PM at Isotopes Park.
Scheduled to participate are some of the team's most popular players, including outfielders Mike Colangelo, and Mark Little, pitcher Nic Ungs; infielder Chris Ashby, as well as Isotopes manager Dean Treanor, hitting coach Steve Phillips, and pitching coach Tom Brown, among others.
The clinic, which is open to kids ages 5 through 15, will begin with check-in and a brief introduction at Isotopes Park at 11:30 AM before the kids break into groups at 12:10 PM to let the participants put their skills to the test in a series of interactive drills involving "Topes players and coaches. Registration is $50 and includes the clinic, a hat, a certificate, lunch from Sonic, and two reserved-level ticket vouchers to any non-restricted Isotopes game. Parents may register their kids on the day of the clinic before 11:30 AM. Spaces are still available but are going quickly.
Groups will rotate through four stations on the field at Isotopes Park, receiving instruction from Isotopes players and coaches on the finer points of hitting, pitching, infield, and outfield.
At 2:30 PM the entire group will reconvene in the outfield for a photo before being served lunch in the picnic area. For more information or to reserve a spot, please contact the Albuquerque Isotopes at (505) 924-2255.
The Isotopes have packed slate of promotions this weekend, including Beanie Bear giveaway night on Saturday with a post-game fireworks show, and a special Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Sunday, featuring a pink hat giveaway and a pink jersey silent auction where fans will have an opportunity to purchase game-worn pink Isotopes jerseys with proceeds benefiting the Susan G.
