Latest Biblical Bobblehead Highlights Upcoming Sounds Homestand

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The first-place Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Monday after a four-game road trip in New Orleans. The Sounds' fifth homestand of the year will feature a four-game series versus the division-rivals Omaha Royals (AAA-Royals) and also four contests against the Oklahoma RedHawks (AAA-Rangers).

The Sounds begin their homestand on Monday night with a 7 p.m. contest versus the Omaha Royals. Monday marks another H.G. Hill Monday at Greer Stadium. Any fan that present a H.G. Hill receipt at the Sounds Box office window will receive one free ticket with the purchase of another one, up to four free tickets. Hot dog lovers can also enjoy dollar hot dogs all night at every concession stand.

Game two of the four-game series versus the Royals takes place on Tuesday with the first pitch being slated for 7 p.m. Tuesday is American General Buyout Night. AIG has bought every ticket and will be distributing the tickets to their customers at their various Middle Tennessee locations. Fans can upgrade their general admission ticket to a better seat by paying a nominal fee at the Sounds box office. The first 2,000 fans that go through the turnstiles will receive a Sounds logo baseball.

The two teams continue the series Wednesday at noon on Day Camp Day at Greer Stadium. Various day camps will be in attendance at Greer Stadium for field trips filled with baseball and hot dogs. $8 tickets are available for all day campers and also a special $10 ticket is also available. The $10 ticket includes a ticket to the game, a hot dog and a soft drink.

The finale between the Royals and Sounds takes place on Thirsty Thursday at Greer Stadium, sponsored by 105.9 The Rock. While enjoying the game, fans can purchase dollar draft beverages until the end of the fifth inning or until 8:30 p.m., whichever occurs first. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.

On Friday, the Sounds start a four-game series against the Oklahoma RedHawks with another Purity Faith Night at Greer Stadium. The 7 p.m. game will feature the latest biblical bobblehead giveaway in the team's nationally-renowned program: Jonah. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a bobblehead in the likeness of the biblical figure.

The Faith Night concert series continues as well on Friday. Fans can come out to the ballpark and enjoy a pre-game concert put on by the Peasall Sisters, a trio of siblings who made their national debut on the Grammy-winning soundtrack of the movie "O' Brother, Where Art Thou?"

Friday's Faith Night will be concluded by a post-game fireworks spectacular, sponsored by Shoney's.

On Saturday, the Sounds and RedHawks will play game two and three of the four-game series in a scheduled doubleheader. The teams will play two seven-inning contests with the first pitch of the day being thrown at 6 p.m. Tickets for this date will garner fans admission to both games. The second game will start approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Saturday, the Sounds will be giving their championship fans a little something in return for their avid support last season. The first 2,000 fans that enter the ballpark will receive a replica championship ring that they can show off on their desk at work, sponsored by First Tennessee. Following the game, the Sounds will host another amazing fireworks show, sponsored by Shoney's.

The Sounds wrap up their eight-game homestand on Sunday evening with the last game of the series against the RedHawks at 6 p.m. Sunday night will be Goodwill Night. Goodwill Industries provided fans that made donations between April 14th and June 9th a free ticket to the contest. Sunday is also a Harris Teeter Family Day. Fans that show their Harris Teeter VIC card at the box office window can get one ticket free with the purchase of another one.

Sunday will also play host to the Hyundai Home Run Challenge. Fans can register prior and during the game for the chance to win a new Sonata during the selected Hyundai Home Run inning. Sunday will also be Scout Day at Greer Stadium.

On Monday, June 19, the Sounds will host their annual golf tournament at The Legacy golf course in Springfield. Registration for the tournament will start at 7:15 a.m. with the shotgun start will begin at 9 a.m. Foursomes can sign up for $500 and individuals can register for $125. After the Sounds enjoy two days off, they will travel to Round Rock, Texas to face off against the Express (AAA-Astros) for a five-game series. The team will return to Music City on Monday, June 26.
