June 12, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs look to snap a seven-game losing streak when they continue their series with the Norfolk Tides on Friday night. First pitch from Harbor Park is slated for 7:05 p.m.
LHP Adam Morgan (0-6, 5.07) will be on the bump for the IronPigs. Morgan took the loss on Saturday vs. Indianapolis after surrendering four runs (two earned) on five hits to go along with four walks and five strikeouts in 6.1 IP. The University of Alabama product remains in search of his first win since August 6, 2013 at Charlotte.
RHP Michael Bowden (4-1, 1.55) gets the ball for the Tides in what will be his fourth start of the season and 18th appearance overall. The right-hander's last outing came in relief on Monday at Gwinnett when he allowed one hit over two scoreless frames. Bowden's last start was back on May 27 vs. Syracuse when he gave up three hits while walking one and fanning two in 5.2 shutout innings. In fact, the Winfield, Ill. native has yet to surrender an earned run in any of his three starts to date.
Since joining the IronPigs last week, LHP Jake Diekman has notched three scoreless appearances. The southpaw has allowed three hits and struck out four over three innings of work in that time.
