Down to their final 17 games of the regular season, the IronPigs (68-59) play the finale of a four-game series against the sixth-place Buffalo Bisons (60-66) at Coca-Cola Field... With a 5-2 win yesterday, the Pigs have now won three of their last four games and gone ahead in this series, 2-1. Still, since July 6, the Pigs have gone just 17-23 in their last 40 contests -- going from a season-high 3.0-games up to 3.0-games back in the North...Buffalo -- the Mets' top affiliate -- has still dumped seven of its last 10 games. Once 49-45 on July 14, the Bisons have gone just 11-21 in their last 32 affairs.

RHP Scott Elarton (5-10, 5.46) will start for LHV against RHP Jenrry Mejia (2-2, 2.90).

First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m... The Pigs next return home for a four-game series with Toledo (51-76) and for 14 of their last 17 (though just 12 are "home" games).

WITH A WIN TONIGHT, THE PIGS WILL...:

* Win three straight games for the first time since 7/31-8/2... The last time the Pigs won 4 straight games was 7/1-7/3 (DH on 7/1).

* Win three straight road games for the first time since 6/10-6/18 (2 G @ SYR; 1 G @ TOL) -- a span 31 games on the road.

* Win the series -- their first since 8/1-8/2 vs. PAW and their first 4-G series since taking 3-of-4 from NOR, 7/24-7/27... It would also be their first road series victory since taking 3-of-4 from TOL, 6/18-6/21 (9 road series ago)... LHV has gone just 2-4-6 in its last 12 series...

* With a PAW loss, move to a tie for the Wild Card with the Red Sox.

REMOVING THE "Y - FROM LEHIGH VALLEY:

C Sebastian Valle has 3 multi-hit efforts in his last 3 GS (8-13, .615-1-3, 2 2B in 4 G)... In fact, the Pigs only have 4 HR in their last 12 G since 8/4 -- and Valle has 3 of the 4 HR... He's also had 11 RBI in 11 G, averaging 1 RBI per 3.5 AB (11/38).
