Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (2-4) return home for their home opener and a nine-game homestand starting with Game One of a three-game series against the Rochester Red Wings (2-4) -- Minnesota's top affiliate. With a 12-0 win yesterday in Pawtucket (3-3), the 'Pigs split the two-game series with the Paw Sox and finished 2-4 on the season-opening, six-game, Northern Division road trip... LHV finished last season in third place in the North Division at 71-73. The Wings -- who split a four-game series at Pawtucket before losing two games at SWB -- finished '09 ranked fourth in the North at 70-74...
RHP Ryan Vogelsong (0-0, 0.00) will start for the IronPigs against LHP Ryan Mullins (0-0, 16.20).
First-pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. for Opening Day, presented by OAA Orthopaedic Specialists.
