Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to snap a two-game skid when they open a three-game set with the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Field is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Severino Gonzalez (1-4, 4.23) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series opener. Gonzalez took the loss vs. Buffalo on Tuesday when he gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits while walking one and fanning three over five innings of work. The right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA in two starts against the Bisons this season.

LHP Randy Wolf (5-1, 3.01) will be on the bump for manager Gary Allenson's squad on Tuesday. The southpaw got a no-decision on Wednesday at Lehigh Valley after he surrendered four runs on nine hits to go along with a walk and three strikeouts in 5.0 IP. Wolf is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts against the Pigs in 2015. Opponents have hit just .182 (12-66) with runners in scoring position against Wolf this year.

Since being promoted from Double-A Reading on June 16, Pigs LHP Adam Loewen has notched three scoreless outings. In that time, Loewen has scattered three hits and walked two while fanning 12 in just 5.0 IP.
