Rochester Red Wings News Release

The Red Wings present our annual "Bark in the Park" event at the Monday, July 6 home game. The gates open at 6 p.m., and the Wings host Lehigh Valley (Phillies) at 7:05 p.m.

Fans can bring their pooch to the park for an evening of Red Wings Baseball. A special $7 advance ticket ($8 day of event) will get pet owners into a "dog pound" section in left-center field for the game; dogs are admitted free for this promotion.

To participate with a canine friend, fans must purchase a special "Bark in the Park" pass. Fans with dogs will enter Frontier Field using the Plymouth Ave. gates, and proceed directly into our "dog pound" section. To order tickets for the July 6 "Bark in the Park" event call 423-WING (9464) and order with a credit card, or visit the Frontier Field Ticket Office during regular hours. Online ticket ordering for Bark in the Park is not available. Click here for Ticket Office hours and more information on ordering tickets.

Red Wings season seat holders: to attend "Bark" with your dog, please pick up a "Bark" pass at the Ticket Office before July 6; then, show your pass and your dated season ticket for July 6 at the Plymouth Avenue gate when you arrive July 6.

PLEASE NOTE: There are a limited number of "Bark" tickets available based on space limitations, so fans are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets/"Bark" passes in advance. There is a chance our "dog pound" area may sell out and fans/dogs may be turned away. THE BEST WAY TO ASSURE SPACE FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG IS TO BUY YOUR TICKETS AND "BARK" PASSES IN ADVANCE.

Some basic things to know for our July 6 "Bark in the Park" event:

* All dogs must be leashed and under the control of their owner in the "dog pound" section in left-center field

* chairs and access to water will be provided

* bags and receptacles will be provided for each owner to pick up after their pet

* no outside food or beverage may brought into Frontier Field

* please take into account any high heat/humidity weather conditions before taking any pet outside for an extended period of time

A "Puppypalooza" exhibitor area will be set up in the Walk of Fame area just beyond the left field fence, adjacent to the "dog pound" seating area. Exhibitors will receive 20 tickets, table display space, in-stadium video board mentions, game day stats/roster sheet listing, and website listing.
