Jordan Danks' two-run blast in the top of the 9th lifted the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (28-45) to a 5-4 win over the Buffalo Bisons (34-38) on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Field.

Danks' second home run of the season came off of RHP Bobby Korecky (1.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER) who was tagged with the loss for the Bisons and drops to 2-4 on the season.

LHP Cesar Jimenez (1.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, K) got the win for the Pigs and now sits at 2-3. RHP Juan Gutierrez (1.0 IP, H, K) got the final three outs to notch his second save of the year.

The Pigs took an early 1-0 lead with a run in the first as Chase d'Arnaud (2-4, 2 R, SB) led off with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch and later scored on Brian Bogusevic's (2-4, RBI) RBI single.

Alex Hassan's RBI single in the home half of the second tied things at one apiece for Buffalo.

The Bisons took a 2-1 lead in the fourth with a run off of Pigs starter Severino Gonzalez as Andy Burns drew a one out walk, went to third on a single and scored on Hassan's sac fly.

Gonzalez (n/d) surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings of work to go along with three walks and a pair of strikeouts.

Gonzalez's counterpart, Buffalo starter Randy Wolf (n/d) also received a no-decision after giving up three runs on six hits while walking three and fanning seven in 7.2 IP.

In the top of the seventh, Russ Canzler tied it at two for the Pigs with a solo shot to left. It was Canzler's fifth home run of the season.

Lehigh Valley took the lead in the top of the eighth as d'Arnaud got on base with a one-out single, stole second and scored on Cord Phelps' RBI single to open up a 3-2 advantage for the time being.

Hassan's two-out, two-run double gave the Bisons a 4-3 lead in the home half of the same frame.

RHP Dustin McGowan (1.0 IP, H, BB) tossed a scoreless inning for the IronPigs.

The series continues on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. with a pair of highly touted prospects on the bump as RHP Aaron Nola (1-0, 0.00) goes for the Pigs against Buffalo LHP Daniel Norris (1-6, 3.44).
