Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the opening game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd had an off day yesterday, following a 3-4 roadtrip to Lehigh Valley and Syracuse. Following the series with the IronPigs, Buffalo will travel to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a three-game set.

vs. the IronPigs

The Bisons are 8-4 against Lehigh Valley this year. With six games remaining between the two squads, the Herd can earn at least a season split against the IronPigs with a victory tonight. Buffalo swept a four-game series from Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Field, April 16-19.

Randy Wolf

In his last start, LHP RANDY WOLF allowed a season-high nine hits in 5.0 IP against the IronPigs in Allentown. He did not earn a decision, while allowing four runs a walk, and three strikeouts. He also surrendered his first home run of the season, having pitched 69.0 innings without giving up a longball prior to that.

MattVP

INF MATT HAGUE'S league-best .351 batting average is 25 points better than any other hitter in the IL. He continues to pace the circuit in hits (91), total bases (124), on-base pct. (.433) and slugging pct. (.479) and is tied for first in RBI (43) and doubles (19). Hague has played in all but one of Buffalo's 71 games.

Roster Moves

RHP SCOTT COPELAND and RHP RYAN TEPERA have been activated after being optioned from Toronto. Copeland is 4-1 with a 1.97 ERA in eight games at Triple-A this season while Tepera is 1-1 with a 0.57 ERA and has allowed just one earned run in 15.2 innings pitched with the Bisons. The Blue Jays promoted LHP ROB RASMUSSEN and RHP TODD REDMOND from the Herd on Monday.

Bullpen Bits

RHP CHAD JENKINS has not allowed a run in nine relief outings or 15.0 innings dating back to May 25...LHP COLT HYNES also has a scoreless streak dating back to May 25, having gone 8.1 innings in eight outings without giving up a run...The bullpen owns a 2.58 ERA this season in 251.1 innings pitched.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (38-33) smashed three home runs en route to a 8-5 series-opening win over the Rays last night. Former Bison Chris Colabello collected two hits and two RBI in the win. Toronto will continue their three-game series with the Rays tonight at Tropicana Field. (7:10 p.m.)
