DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Stars and Peoria Rivermen wrapped-up their 10 game Regular Season series during Saturday's Fan Appreciation Night. Continuing their recent surge, the Stars posted a 5-1 win and set a new franchise record with their sixth consecutive victory on Wells Fargo Arena ice.
Iowa found the back of the net first when B.J. Crombeen scored his fifth goal of the season in front of Chris Beckford-Tseu's goal. Defenseman Mike Gabinet and Chris Conner had the assists on power-play goal. Kyle Brodziak gave Iowa a 2-0 lead when he streaked down the right boards, cut in front of the net, deked the goalie and slid a back-hand shot into the Peoria net. Toby Petersen picked-up his fifth point in three games with an assist. Defenseman Jason Platt had the other assist. Ryan Ramsey pulled Peoria to within one with his 14th of the season at 17:02.
