
Iowa Energy Remain Undefeated with Win in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, SD - The Iowa Energy (3-0) remain undefeated after a 124-104 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce (1-1) Saturday night at the Sanford Pentagon.
Diante Garrett led the way for the Energy with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former Iowa State Cyclone made 7 three-pointers for the Energy, one shy of tying the team record. Hassan Whiteside finished with a double-double adding 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. All five Energy starters finished with at least 19 points. Chris Allen scored a game-high 39 points for Sioux Falls.
The Energy got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 39-27 first quarter lead. Patrick Christopher finished with 11 first quarter points. Damien Wilkins and Diante Garrett also added 10 points each.
Sioux Falls would close the gap during the second and third quarters with strong performances by Khem Birch, Chris Allen and Larry Drew. The Skyforce had the lead down to 5 points heading into the fourth quarter. All three Skyforce players would finish the game with at least 34 points.
The Energy would pull away during the fourth quarter after starting the quarter on a 12-2 run. The Energy outscored the Skyforce 28-13 during the quarter to win by 20. Iowa never trailed in the game, leading wire to wire.
The Energy continue on the road next Saturday, Nov. 29, in Grand Rapids. Game tips-off at 6pm and can be watched on YouTube and broadcasted on 1350 KRNT. The first Energy home game is Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
