June 20, 2010 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release

KANNAPOLIS, NC - In cooperation with the Kannapolis Business Alliance, Catawba College, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Mecklenburg County, the Kannapolis Intimidators will help Campaign for Clean Air before their game on Friday, June 25th from 4-7 pm. The game that night will begin at 7:05 pm against the Augusta GreenJackets and it will include post-game fireworks.

At Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, there will be free gas cap checks which will also include checks of tire pressure and emissions for free as well. Having your car checked in these areas not only helps promote cleaner air, but can improve your gas mileage and save money. The first 200 people will also receive a free tire gauge.

The Center for the Environment's Campaign for Clean Air, launched in the fall of 2009, is designed to educate citizens in our community and region, and empower them to take action to address the air quality issues we face. More information can be found at their website at campaignforcleanair.org.
