PREVIEW: The Shorebirds aim for a series sweep in the finale of the first half against the Lexington Legends. The Shorebirds plated six runs in the third inning last night to top the Legends 7-1. Kenny Moreland became the first Shorebirds pitcher to finish the eighth inning this season.

SIX-GAME WINNING STREAK: The Shorebirds take a six-game win streak into game four. The six-game streak is a season high for Delmarva. The Shorebirds season high win streak last season was seven games, between May 20 and May 26.

NINE STRAIGHT AT PERDUE: The Shorebirds have won nine straight games at Perdue Stadium. The nine game home winning streak is the longest of the season. The Shorebirds won ten straight games at home between 7/14 and 8/3 of 2005.

10 RUNS IN LAST SIX: The Shorebirds have only allowed ten runs during the six game winning streak. The 'Birds have two shutouts during the win streak.

STARTING PITCHING: Shorebirds starters have been outstanding during the current series. In a combined 20 innings pitched, the starters (Moreau, Beal, Moreland) have not allowed an earned run. They have allowed just 11 hits. Moreland went eight innings and allowed only two hits and an unearned run.

STREAKING: T.J. BAXTER

T.J. has reached base in a season high 21 straight games dating back to May 21. It is the second longest active streak in the South Atlantic League behind Leandro Castro of Lakewood (22). He has a .407 on-base percentage during the steak.
