Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release

Kannapolis, NC - Four hits from Jim Gallagher and three base knocks from Christian Marrero weren?t enough for the Intimidators in an 11-5 loss to Greensboro to close out a quick two-game series at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in front of a crowd of 4,018.

The Intimidators received home runs from Gallagher (a solo shot in the second inning) and Matt Inouye (a two-run blast in the third frame).

With the loss the Intimidators have dropped five in a row. Greensboro scored four runs in the second, added three in the third before solo runs in the fourth and fifth innings. For good measure, the Grasshoppers scored two more in the seventh inning.

Gallagher finished the day 4-for-5 with a home run. Marrero went 3-for-5 in the losing effort with a double and RBI.

The Intimidators stay at home and welcome in West Virginia starting a three-game set tomorrow night at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. First pitch is 7:05pm with the gates opening at 6:00pm. Call 704-932-FANS for tickets or buy them online at intimidatorsbaseball.com.
