KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 17, 2011) - The Kannapolis Intimidators could not overcome another big first inning by the Hickory Crawdads, falling 12-3 on Sunday at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

For the second straight night, the Crawdads started strong, this time with a four-run first inning. Kannapolis starter RHP Kevin Moran walked Jake Skole, who scored after consecutive base hits from Tomas Telis and Andrew Clark. Moran walked two more batters and allowed a two-run single by Kellin Deglan.

The Intimidators benefited from a Hickory error in the second, allowing 3B Juan Silverio to drive in a run. C Kevin Dubler added an RBI-single in the fourth, and LF Brady Shoemaker singled home CF Trayce Thompson in the fifth.

The Crawdads scored in every inning except the fourth and ninth, using a three run sixth to put things out of reach, 10-3.
