HICKORY, N.C. - The Hickory Crawdads scored in seven of the nine innings en route to the 12-3 win against the Kannapolis Intimidators, before 1,609 fans at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis on Sunday evening.

The Crawdads (7-4) again came out swinging away in the top of the first, scoring four runs in the opening frame against RHP Kevin Moran (L, 0-1). After a sacrifice bunt advanced both runners, RF Josh Richmond drew a walk to load the bases. 3B Christian Villanueva followed suit with a walk of his own, forcing in Telis, and C Kellin Deglan lined a two-run single to left field, capping the rally and putting the Crawdads ahead, 4-0.

Both teams plated a run in the second, before the Crawdads struck again in the third with a solo homer from SS Jonathan Roof to move ahead, 6-1. After the Intimidators (7-3) scored another in the fourth against starter RHP Carlos Melo, the Crawdads again answered with an RBI single by LF Teodoro Martinez in the fifth, making it, 7-2.

Kannapolis plated an unearned run in the bottom of the fifth against RHP Randol Rojas (W, 2-0), but the Crawdads came right back with three runs in the top of the sixth to take the 10-3 advantage. 2B Odubel Herrera knocked one in with an RBI fielder's choice before Richmond drove an RBI double to score Herrera. Later in the inning, Richmond raced in on a wild pitch and throwing error, putting Hickory up by seven.

While Rojas continued to keep Kannapolis from edging closer, the Crawdads continued to add runs with a sacrifice fly by Telis in the seventh and a sacrifice fly by Deglan in the eighth.
