St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - Many people got their current jobs by taking an internship just to get their foot in the door. Some of us made copies, others had to get coffee for the President or CEO of the company. The St. Paul Saints know how hard interns work just to get noticed and, in conjunction with the upcoming release of the movie "The Internship," the Saints will honor all those hard working people who are just trying to catch a break.
On Friday, May 24 at 7:05 p.m. the Saints will hold an Intern Appreciation Night as the Saints take on the El Paso Diablos. Many promotions throughout the night will have an intern theme to them with those interns in attendance chosen as the contestants. While the Saints will have fun at those intern's expense, including those currently with the Saints, the team will honor one lucky intern at the game. The Saints are asking interns to send them a Facebook message letting the team know where they are currently an intern. The Saints will then choose one luck y winner to coach first base during an inning of the May 24 game.
Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation's most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.
